Small but well kept farms.  Farming is heavily subsidized in Scandinavia.  Our mid-day waffle "snack" in an old barn, was wonderful!

Another fjord cruise...

on the lake, past waterfalls...

and a view of the little towns at lakes-end

Enroute to Oslo, the capitol -

a visit to the 1994 Winter Olympic Ski Site in Lillehammer

Oslo, half million population in the center for education, culture and government.

Stockholm, Seden

A center for Viking study and museums

City Hall where the Nobel Laureates are honored in the Blue Room.

A beautiful city for walking, for artist and performers and shops and eateries.

To these hospitable Scandinavian countries - Denmark, Norway and Sweden - and to the legendary troll and robust Viking, we say "takk" - Thank you, but more than that we say "tuss and takk" or 1,000 thanks.

This was a journey worth remembering!
