experience of tour members.
The New England States are an inviting entry into the
Maritime Provinces of Canada.
Beautiful Farmland of NEW BRUNSWICK
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND offers the...
redrocks of the north coast and the... home of Anne of Green Gables
NOVA SCOTIA a veritable bubble of land and sea sights waiting to burst --
Our guide introduced us to the Cabot Trail
In Baddeck we learned of the many inventions of Alexander Graham
Bell...
At the top we "enjoyed" the fog and drizzle of the bog
boardwalk with its many unique plants and flowers.
The Bay of Fundy with its world famous tidal
fluctuations
showed us a spectacular version of the coming-in-of-the-tide or the
Tidal Bore.
The visit with the Penner Family and our travel through the Northfield
Settlement was a time of good fellowship.
The always beautiful Peggy's Cove, with its boat houses, rocky shores,
craft shops and stone carving of fisherman, was so beautiful in the
rising fog.
And just enough free time to relax at sunset, play games
around the lobby tables -- just what a vacation should include.
A final high-speed ride on The Cat across the Bay of Fundy
brings us back to Bar Harbor, ME...
... with its rocky coastline and delicious lobster dinner.
Poem by Diana Stuhr
Maritime Provinces
August 2003
It was foggy, Mr. Phrogie,
and that I'll not deny
But I have no regrets about it
and I'll tell you why.
At our final supper together, memories were shared, friendships confirmed
and blessings given as we go on our way. The poem by Diane and the
men's quartet concluded our evening together. So many memories to
carry to our homes.
It's my fellow travelers...
Some travelers might make it gloomy
Some travelers might make it cold
I happened to be with a bunch, if I might be so bold
Who toasted up and warmed my heart, each and every day.
Despite the fog, they made it bright and sunny all the way.
