Leon and Nancy were both born and now reside near Lancaster, PA. Leon's schooling was in secular state schools while Nancy's was in church school programs.
After several summers in camp administration, Leon and Nancy spent two years in New York City working with youth. Leon's employment includes nearly 30 years in mission and church administration while Nancy's employment and training is in business and accounting. The Stauffers with their three children spent a short-term overseas church assignment in Asia.
Landisville (PA) Mennonite Church has been the home congregation since Leon and Nancy's marriage there in 1967. Both have had significant involvements in lay leadership, fiscal duties, teaching and mentoring.
When not escorting tours, the Stauffers spend time landscaping and gardening around their property, they enjoy taking walks together. As extra time permits you will find Nancy quilting and doing other needle work while Leon is testing his photography interests.
The Stauffers became grandparents for the first time in August 2000. They were in Denali National Park when they finally learned they have a grandson. Since then another grandson was added to their family in June 2003 and most recently twins (a boy and a girl) joined their family in July 2009.
