Finally, a big thank you to Robert, our motorcoach captain and his wife Jo for entertaining us at his home for afternoon tea. The final song and good-bye touched us.
NEW ZEALAND's South and North Islands

From Queentown, the steamship ride across the lake to the Walter Peaks Station -- sheep farm -- was a delightful end to the day.
|
|
|
|
The dining was elegant and the sheep shearing and sheep dog demonstrations which followed were both interesting and educational.
|
|
The boat cruise on Milford Sound was breath-taking. All the waterfalls, the bird rookeries, the ragged mountain walls going straight up beside our small boat -- the greatness and majesty of the creator impressed itself upon us.

|
The story of the native culture proved a unique learning experience on the North Island. The nose-touching-nose greeting of the Maori people gave an immediate impression of friendship. We enjoyed the evening of fun, food, song and dance at the Hangi. |
From atop a volcanic hill overlooking Auckland, we reflected on the memories of the past weeks. We said good-bye to the places we've been, the local people we met and most of all to our tour family with whom we have lived these past weeks. We say "til we meet again."
