South Africa Adventure
The beautiful city of Johannesburg greets us after a long flight across the Atlantic. Allow your body to adjust to the new time zone and the autumn season south of the equator. Learn quickly about the hurts of apartheid and the healing and peacemaking which has been taking place in this culturally and class divided nation. See beautiful valleys, breath-taking mountains, canyons, shoreline and animals in the wild. On a panoramic tour of Blyde River Canyon, stop at Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window. On the Cape Town tour, visit Table Mountain; the peninsula tour includes Cape Point, Seal Island and Boulders Penguin Colony. There will be several animal safaristo Kruger National Park, Elephant Whispers Sanctuary and the Cango Ostrich Farm. Experience the contrast of cultures at the Matsamo Cultural Village, attend a worship service, and stop at a soup kitchen in one of the "townships." English speaking guides/drivers and good accommodations will make for a wonderful experience.

Texas Flowers & Ranches
Enjoy an early springtime see the color, smell the fragrance of the wildflowers and visit the farms and ranches of the Lone Star State. Hear more of the Kennedy assassination story in Dallas and see the cattle drive in Fort Worth. Texas is ranch country. We'll visit the Y.O Ranch with its exotic livestock, the LBJ Ranch & "Texas White House." Stop by the chuck wagon for a real cowboy supper. Learn how quarter horses are trained in cattle cutting. Tour Washington County; see the back roads full of blue bonnets, paintbrush and other wildflowers. Relax on the canal ride through San Antonio. Taste-test the Blue Bell ice cream. Don't miss the history lessons of the Alamo and the NASA space center. Great fellowship with other Christians along the way.

Alaska
Begin this exciting journey in Anchorage, Alaska. Visit farming region, the Native Cultural Center, and Prince William Sound with its 26 glaciers. See breathtaking views; look for Mt. McKinley while traveling to Denali National Park aboard the full-domed McKinley Explorer rail car. A tundra wilderness excursion takes us into the Park. In Fairbanks, pan for gold and learn of the Oil Pipeline. Then pass through the small communities of Chicken and Eagle. Enter the Yukon Territory, cruise up the Yukon River and learn the gold rush story. Follow the White Pass Railroad to Skagway where we board our cruise ship for the 1,000 mile cruise down the Inside Passageway with a port stop at Ketchikan, the salmon capital. Tour concludes in Vancouver, BC, Canada. |

Northwest US & BC
America's Northwest is filled with spectacular scenery. The visit to Washington, Oregon and northern California is nature's variety. The Frazer River Valley of BC is home to many Russian Mennonite farms and businesses. The beautiful Butchart Gardens of Vancouver Island and Stanley Park of Vancouver will not soon be forgotten. We'll see the Emerald City of Seattle, then learn the story of Mt. St. Helen and the day she "blew her top." The beautiful Columbia River, its gorges and waterfalls will refresh you. Learn of Oregon's farming communities along the Willamette Valley, the cliffs and sand dunes along the coast and the end of the Oregon Trail. The stately redwoods of California will inspire you. The wonders and beauty of the North Atlantic come alive as we travel the New England coastline and Acadia National Park. Our visit takes us to New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. The farms of these provinces will attract you. See the Anne of Green Gables house and enjoy the evening musical performance. You will find the Cabot Trail both beautiful and rugged. Peggy's Cove is scenic with its small fishing boats and the stately lighthouse; a grand place to eat lobster. To visit the Kleine Gemeinde Mennonite settlement is a treat. Learn about the rise and fall of the world's highest tides as we travel along the Bay of Fundy. So much packed into a short time and small space. |

Rhine River Cruise
This is your opportunity to see Europe at its finest as we cruise the calm waters of the Rhine River. Before the cruise, we begin in Belgium, with its famous chocolates, waffles and handmade lace. Then on to the "low" country, Holland, to visit a small fishing village, dams & locks, as well as the home of Edam cheese. Our hotel for the next week is the 198 passenger River Boat, the Helvetia II, as we get acquainted with Europe along the Rhine. Our stops along the way include Cologne, Rudesheim, Heidelberg and Strasbourg, just to name a few. There will be opportunity to visit "Old Town" areas, town squares, cathedrals and fortresses for which these place are so well known. We will also walk through the vast vineyards which line the river banks and view picturesque castles that sit on high points appearing around each bend in the river. All meals are included on the River Boat as are all group excursions on shore. Leaving the cruise, we drive into the "high" country of the Swiss Alps. You can end your trip on a "high" note by visiting the world's highest train station or a small village high in the Alps. A breathtaking learning experience. |
